Attorney Byoung-Ho Son of One Law Partners, LLC appeared on KBS 1TV’s Sunday Diagnosis Live on October 11 and shared his views on key issues surrounding the reform of Korea’s criminal justice system, including the abolition of the Prosecutors’ Office and the launch of the Serious Crimes Investigation Office (JCIO).
 

The broadcast discussed the abolition of the Prosecutors’ Office after 78 years, the separation of investigative and prosecutorial functions, changes to the investigative system following the establishment of the JCIO and the Public Prosecution Office, concerns regarding potential investigative gaps during the implementation of the new system, and issues relating to the allocation of authority and cooperation among relevant institutions.
 

Attorney Son, a former police officer, participated as a panelist alongside former prosecutors and criminal procedure law experts and took part in discussions regarding the reform of the criminal justice system and future challenges.
