Cho Sook-Hyun took her first step in family law practice during her trainee years at the Judicial Research and Training Institute, when she joined a team preparing a constitutional lawsuit against the Hojuje (Korea’s family register system in effect at the time) and helped develop a divorce litigation manual for NGOs.

Her interest in family law continued when she began her practice in 2001. Since then, as a family lawyer registered with the Korean Bar Association, Ms. Cho has represented and advised clients in numerous divorce, inheritance, and other family-related cases with great success. A family dispute can be a particularly harrowing and taxing experience for all those involved, as the opposing parties are closely related to each other. In recognition of such nature of family law cases, Ms. Cho does everything within her power to make the proceedings less painful for her clients, while ensuring that they receive the most favorable outcomes.
