On October 11, 2026, Attorney Seul-Ki Oh of One Law Partners, LLC was interviewed by VOU, the broadcasting station of Kyung Hee University, regarding copyright ownership issues relating to AI-assisted music that had entered the music charts.
 

Attorney Seul-Ki Oh explained that the copyright framework relating to AI-generated music is currently undergoing significant development and that discussions continue regarding registration procedures for AI-assisted works and the scope of rights that may be recognized.

She also noted that the introduction of disclosure requirements aimed at enhancing transparency in AI-generated music is under consideration.
However, she explained that additional discussion is needed regarding issues such as the standards and methods for implementation on music streaming platforms.
